(Marcus and) I have added ours to the timetable (Wednesday 1st & 8th November, respectively). I've added it for Unity (I'll cover basic workflow, lighting, [the importance of] post processing, and probably do a breakdown of my stalenhag mech scene), but will chat around to see if more than 4 people want a technical one, in which case I'll start preparing that, because I'll have to actually think about how to present it coherently, and not as a bumbling mess :)

-So my previous post in the thread died hence the new one (was supposed to just update the last one with edits!)-

Thanks for the S/O Callum! As mentioned I've stolen the 1st of November, and will be going over taking a shot from start to finish (totally achievable in the time... right?). Come along for what will hopefully be a chill evening of funky animation goodness. If you have anything in particular you'd like to see included feel free to drop me a PM, I want this to be as helpful as possible!

can we get some info on this for alumni ?

it would be better too have more than just a lunchtime for a masterclass since we would need to take the day off - perhaps a full day / spread across the week with alumni from different disciplines coming in ?, a talk all together in the morning for introduction ect. then can split off into separate rooms.

If Alumni wish to come and give a master class we are more then happy to sort out times and room booking but they would need to talk to the programe leaders, Martin and Dan first as the working regulations have changed and we would need to sign off on a couple of things 7 days in advance.

 

Replace "AT" with - "@" obviously, its just to keep spam down.

I've added mine on the 15th Evan's going to help me out so we'll have someone there if anyone gets stuck. I'll be going through the whole pipeline from A to B, this is mostly aimed at Games Students but because every first year is going to be modeling for CGP you're more than welcome to pop in as well. I've put the time from 17:15 - 19:15 but I don't think it'll take that long.

Games Art Texturing Substance Painter/Designer/BitMap2Material : Texturing techniques & Breakdown of DC-3 plane
 
Ive had a few people ask me to do a breakdown of a plane asset I made over summer, this will give an insight into how to go about texturing assets in general, has a good variety of materials in there, like rubber, metals and decals. 
 
Ill go through some texturing techniques I use, how to create your own materials from scratch in designer and how to use photographs to enhance your materials.
 
If anyone has any particular requests for what they would like me to go through let me know and ill try and get something together! (:
