I'm pretty happy with the comic style though. I modified a caligraphy brush to make it really long and thin and flexible. Gives really interesitng, inky strokes.
Now I just have to do 6-12 pages of comic like that... o_O
Back to 3D. WIP of half a head for our character modelling/edge flow project.
The proportions aren't quite right but I was using the skeleton we were provided with to make the shape so I'm kind of guessing a bit. I think the brow line and eyes are too far back. Anyway, it's under construction.

Yeah, the texture is very low res. It's from a site I found with photos of 100 different people from about eight different angles each but they're only 640x480.
I used the photos as stencils in Mudbox.
Oh, and it's only a screen grab from the viewport not a render and I'll have to actually UV him properly before I can do a spec map.
Still, he'll be getting most of my attention for the next week and a bit.

Ignore the "LEGO" style clothing and toy gun, I have lots of work to go on them yet.

I still have a fair bit of work to do on him. The rifle needs to be finished and textured, and various other bits need more texture work but he's getting there.
