Helloo I finally got round to fixing my account, and I'm back with some personal work I did over the summer.

So firstly I modeled the sword 'Sting', based on the Hobbit trilogy. It was modeled in Maya, textured in Substance Painter and rendered with Marmoset Toolbag 3.

Looks really clean. If you're dead set on rendering it in Marmoset take a little more care with your renders & play with the background elements. It can really help a lot if you play with that stuff and help sell things further.

As for the model, the materials look nice. The blood is a bit underwhelming (I'd get rid of it, it's a weird material to get working right) I'd also drop the roughness on the handle and make it more leather like.

Model wise it's super clean. If you're spending the time rendering a film tier model in a games engine you really want to spent the time making it look like you didn't.

Gib more pls

Well, it was my first time rendering in Marmoset so I didn't really know what I was doing, but I will keep it in mind thank you!!

Yes I only added the blood after I rendered my turntable to see how it would look but it's not really great. The handle is supposed to be made out of wood, but t does look a bit too shiny.

Again, thank you very much for the advice!!

That's lovely, she reminds me of the way Errol le Cain would draw characters from fairy tales - you might enjoy his paintings

My environment piece for Character Concept, the New Tower of Babel from Metropolis, this time making it more sci-fi, with the building made out of amethyst.
