Drawings for the Exquisite Character Brief.

The character I was given was Khemi, the 35 year old Royal Bodyguard, Circa 1335 BC, Egypt.

Exploring different eye, nose and head designs.

This is a really great start! Try exploring different body shapes as well as facial features, try making them short, tall, thin fat, maybe even an animal. It also might be useful to research Egyptian people, use Google images and pinterest to make a mood-board so you have some concrete reference. Good work, keep it up!

Hi  The expression could likely be proud like this.  This asian person is from India but the proudness and beauty could work well applied to an Egyptian woman too.  Not sure what they wore at that time?  Good luck

Really loving the design work you've done so far, particularly the different eye designs. Can't wait to see more :)

Awesome work! I really love how you have experimented with lots of different ideas for her eyes and nose. I also love the third small head sketch where her eyes and eyebrows are quite angular. Keep up the awesome work! :)

Your nose studies are really quite something!  I love the variation of different styles; realistic and stylised - I've noticed with the eyes you prefer to stick to stylised, and you have a great variation of the stylisation; but I think you could definitely up your game and use your skills from your realistic nose studies and bring them into drawing realistic eyes - you're the kind of person who'd enjoy studying shapes of reflections on the eye; and hilights especially on the 'lip' of the eye :)

Haven't posted in a while so thought I'd post this little sketch I did attempting to get a more realistic looking character taking on some advice given on here. I have looked at creating stylised characters, but need to work out how to scan A3 pages to my pen drive in the LRC.

Still need to work on some of the suggestions already given, but will definitely do so. As always thanks for any feed back. It's grand.

really nice work dude, the shading is awesome. I think she looks a little bit cross-eyed though, maybe make the pupils bigger and further apart

Took some reference photos for the A1 illustration required for ArtSkills II.

Any opinions on which one I should use or critiques as always are welcome.

Pinball exercise. Still a lot of big issues such as the speed and intersections with geometry. Have to crack on with the other tasks. Feedback as always is grand.
