Working on a new character, and started looking into setting my own mocap retargeting thing - this is raw cap data with no cleanup at all.

Finally got my mocap 'pipeline' sorted so it's super quick for me to do a quick retarget onto different mocap takes.

 

Here's another shot of the cloak sim!

Finished off a Robin exercise i was doing after work to keep my skills in check.

 

 

Super friendly rig to use.  Reference was key to getting the realism and subtle movements in for this!

Wow the movement looks super realistic! I have to know: did you work exactly to ref or use it as more of a guideline?

Great tempo to the whole shot man, very well thought out and executed. 

Only niggle I have is the breaking look on the legs/ankles when he bends down. But that's only minor. 

Solid piece man, nice one!

cheers man!  Bit of both, i heavily used reference as there's no point in not using it, but there were parts i did myself!  Reference is key to it being believable as there's so many nuances that you would never think to put in!

Thanks alot man!  Yeah i completely agree, unfortunately for me the legs on the rig were a bit difficult to work with and the ik floated away from the controller when the body moves to low (which shouldn't behave like that). So i had to fight it at every hurdle!  But thanks though!

Hey guys!  Just threw together the majority of the shots i worked on on Transformers. There's no quality filter on here, i just put together all of my shots to see how much i animated (i left off a few cogman shots as they were just background standing around shots (out of focus).
