Research and development, do a few renders of you shark with the wrinkles around the eye lightly defined, slightly heavier, even heavier and so on. Just as a way of solidifying your theory of making them more pronounced so they show up with the darker textures. This will just help you to get the best possible outcome with you final render. You can then compare the renders to real reference to see which is the most realistic. :)

Ah yeh... that definitely seems like something I'll be doing, thank you for the great suggestions btw :)

Adding some finer details ready for bake over my low mesh. I decided I wasn't happy with the artifacts left over from Dynamesh... I know the features/wrinkles are exaggerated, but they'll appear toned down with a dark material over the top. I also wanted to go for more of a characterized look.

Hi Josh, nice details you got here, however the gills are a bit too small, since I'm doing great white shark as well, I've been doing some researches and I've noticed that his gills are all the way down from his eye level to the fin..

Attaching an image, so you'd understand me properly :D

Keep it up :)

You need to re-look the mouth area. You have made your mouth quite humanistic, giving it the lips. If you look at the above image, the nose is streamlined with the body, and the mouth comes right back behind the eye. Their jaws also open into an almost circular shape when open as the skin stretches around the jaw.

Just threw some quick materials on to see how it looks so far. Still have to re-model the pedals and handle-bars. Also not happy with the deisgn of the rider-interface above the front wheel, but it's getting there!

I had a play around with some of the materials, added a lil bit of quick enviro lighting and re-modelled a load of details! I think I'm calling this done, now to get renders sorted

After finishing the unwrapping of my shark I wanted to bake normals from my high poly! The normals came out really nicely, but couldn't figure out Maya so I had a play around in Substance!
