Something quick for Easter, hope everyone had a good one!

This one has a lovely Dice Tsutsumi feel to it to me :) My only concern is the bright highlight on the window glass on the left side - it's becoming the main focal point instead of the rabbit.

Yo! Thread's looking a bit dusty, here's some stuff I've been doing in free time, trying to level up value colour. Also been trying to do things in black and white and then working on top of that, I think it helps me to not lose the impact of a sketch. Crit is very welcome, something like 'Hey! You really could work on ____', or 'Hey! How hard you suck at ____ offends me!' is also appreciated. Cheers!

It's hard to crit your work  Perry,  it's great :) The above image  has brushwork that reminded me of the work of Guillaume Vogels, a 19th century Belgian artist, but I'm damned if I can find any decent images of his online (he's not particularly famous). Instead I offer some images from the rather better known Fritz Thaulow, who was one of the most talented artists for rendering water turbulence that has ever lived:

This painting needs work on the faces though - they are too flat, almost like masks. When you've got overcast sky lighting that obviously ruins all the form that is normally explained by more direct, clear sources of light, you have to still show roundness of form - one way to do that is to paint a dark vertical stripe of shadow (very soft blurred edged shadow) down the centre of the face on a layer and then lower the opacity - the idea is for the center of the head (and body too if you wish) to demonstrate core shadows, thus making the edges lighter and appear to be facing away from the camera more - this can reveal and explain form, even on cloudy days and stops things from being flat - look at the below cone; it is lit with fairly diffuse light (yes, your scene is more diffused) but without that dark area on the cone, the form would be abstract and not readable.

Hi Martin! Thanks for the nutritious feedback, I'll do some paintovers and see if I can iron out the problems! I hadn't heard of Fritz Thaulow, that water looks very jump-in-able, if I could render as convincingly I'd be a very content man!

Some sketches to work out character. Trying to anchor down her design, so any feedback on better ways to deal with certain angles/ expressions would be great, otherwise I'll keep on truckin'. Merry weekend!

Yo! Small update, some character stuff. A kind of tropical mouse that habitually collect things they find on the beach. This one is Shell, she named herself after her favourite thing.

On a side note I'm off the radar while working on a larger project, I won't curse the thing to never being finished  by naming it but hopefully I'll be able to update here and there, party on!

Took a couple of evenings out to do some character stuff, trying to push appeal and attitude. She's changing her image with stuff people drop outside. If anyone's got some insight of how I can improve please holler. More things are on the way but it's going to take me an eternity so nothing else to show for now! Cheers!

Hey Harvey! I knew I should have done something with the tail! Curses! I'll fix her up with some trinkets like you say, cheers! : ) If you did a sculpt that would be so cool haha ^^

And some stuff just in time for the weekend! Managed to squeeze out some Ferris's (spelling?), getting a feel for his attitude. He's a main, so please load your crit and shoot to kill! In the mood to improve. Have a good start to the weekend! (and a little skunk process, I was trying different stuff so it jumps around a bit)
