Orc Update: I've been playing around with his muscle structure and body type a lot, I'm finding it hard to find a body type I feel is right for an Orc and also anatomically correct, If anyone could give me some crit it would be massively appreciated.  thank you.

Orc Christmas update:

nothing really Christmas related about the update bar that day.. merry Christmas! I made him red if that counts?.. anyway I've started adding the finer details on the torso, the legs are still less developed along with the hands compared to the rest of him.. I found a good free set of skin pores brushes to save myself the long drawn process of making my own, however I do plan to do this in the future. I'd really recommend these brushes with them giving very realistic details to the orc..

brush pack:

https://cgelves.com/...a-brushes-pack/

to install the brushes navigate to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic\ZBrush 4R7\ZStartup\BrushPresets' and drag and drop the files into there. Restart/open zbrush and bobs your uncle they should be there. Hope these help anyone doing similar zbrush projects. :)

Really, REALLY nice sculpt.... this sort of work is worth a frontage, great job.  Have far are you away from finishing the model?  Is he going to be rigged at any point?

Thanks dude! honestly I'm not too sure I did the project aiming to learn more than anything about anatomy and sculpting in zbrush. although that said I plan to use this as a headlining portfolio piece with texture! definitely towards the end of the sculpting process!

There's a fantastic tut by Justin Holt, and he goes through skin shading / texturing on his elf piece or something like that. Highly recommend it for this, your orc head looks really good proportionally, and it definitely is on track to be on the realistic scale.  Maybe open his eyes and chuck some eyeballs in there if your going to add it to your portfolio.

Looking good!

The war paint reminds me of the Uruk Hai from Lord of the Rings.

Really awesome work so far, great muscle definition, especially around the chest / shoulders. The only part that looks off to me is around the hips; the pelvic region looks a little short. Currently it looks like his legs sort of jut into the torso, I can't quite put my finger on exactly why, as I think its a pretty subtle issue, but I think either his thighs are a touch long, or you do just need a bit more height in the hips and add more of a crotch. Most of your proportions look pretty spot on though. Here's a comparison between what you have at the moment and a quick adjustment:

It's possible my eyes are just tired though and I'm seeing it wrong. Again, great work, looking forward to seeing more :)
