Hi guys my name is Arif Pribadi ,I am new here,

in Final year 2015/2016  3d game art BA course. 

 

me and my teammate , Audrey Wong, going to start exciting project called Warriors Pilgrimage , well if it sounds generic because its a working title, ( but it might stays that way ) 

 

this is our current team structure 

 

Arif Pribadi - Art Director/Technical Director
 
Audrey Wong - Lead Modeller
 

 

here is some short Backstory

The Player play as the Hero character who goes to a small peaceful village in the middle of the mountain landscape to get his blessing on the local temple . But something is not right, there’s seems to be something waiting for him inside the temple...

 

and some technical detail on how the game going to be

Ideally Aimed to be 3rd person view, the game is simply just exploration, in limited area, yet look open. the player just have to go to the end of the area, and solve simple puzzle to activate/open a gate to the end of the level.

 

this is our current concepts, we will keep add it more

 

(the main character design obviously still not done yet, we will keep updating )

 

this is where the player spawn, he will see the hint of the gameplay direction by the artwork

hi guys gotta add more progress for the character design,

These are amazing! Very awesome concept and the development is fantastic.

I love the Keris/Kris as the secondary weapon.

I'm from Malaysia and I'm quite familiar with these weapons and they are said to be fueled with mystical powers.

 

Can't wait to see how this all builds up to. :D

1st Main Detailed Concept Mood

right now i wont spend on detail painting, its all about color mood stuff,  game + scale plan.. 

 

the character wont be able to go anywhere except designated path.

elephant texture added by Audrey Wong!  amazing! can keep the moss for showreel ,but we have to reduce it on 

final game. since there is not much humidity around the gate.

foliage test by Me ( Arif Pribadi),  despite the amount of the object in the scene, the modeling work is really simple , it is more about technical test , right now , it kills the performance a lot, I am thinking of combining all the textures and reducing shadow quality later on. and proably I will ended up using lightmap instead of real time GI. and AO.

Very cool stuff sofar , i do really love the art direction (its my kinda thing :))

 

Excited to see how this turns out !

 

can i ask how you did the grass.. the trees are speed tree?
